Beginning in September of 2009, and over the next five years, BlaqueAdemics will roll out two connective non-profit organizations and a publishing house.
- The Blaque Awareness Network:
The Network is currently in development in preparation for a September 2009 launch, and is currently fully funded by our founder. As the communications arm of BlaqueAdemics, The Network is significant to our overarching objective to encourage communications across the socio-historic divide. Therefore, The Network provides a variety of discussion and planning forums using not only the Internet (webinars, blogs, educational sources), but also various live venues, including The Center, once opened. The Network provides virtual spaces for individuals and organizations to commune with each other in culturally comfortable way. Our workshops, events, and retreats bring like minded people together to share and gain knowledge with and from each other, and follows up with planning workshops, enabling participants a space apply the knowledge they have gained to better the lives and communities of the participants.
Our funding is derived from, approved by, and reported to our host agency, BlaqueAdemics, while Banned Books & Co. produces our print media on a 'fee-for-service' basis. The Network, also contributes to the maintenance and promotions of The Center and our host agency, and therefore, is solely responsible for housing the digital arm of BlaqueAdemics, including all web designs and maintenance, the collection and proper distribution of all written and/or emailed correspondence and public comments, and all Internet media associated with all events. Such services rendered to Banned Books & Co. are on a 'fee-for-service' basis. To learn more, visit The Network online. Contributions made to further The Network's development, operations, and maintenance are welcomed and appreciated. Please send your tax deductible check or money order payable to The Network at:

- The Blaque Awareness Center:
The Center is central to BlaqueAdemics' long term goal of having an operating facility in which to house its host agency, The Network's computer operations, a tutoring center, a student computer access center, a reference library, and of course, all operations associated with Banned Books &. Although The Center is not yet fully funded, through its host agency donations are accepted and distributed toward not only its 2015 official launch, but also its fundraising events, the first, the Annual BlaqueAdemics Conference, slated for September 2011 in Philadelphia. To learn more and receive updates, review In the Blaque on BlaqueAdemics main web site, or visit The Center online. Contributions to The Center's development and opening are welcomed and appreciated. - Banned Books & Co.:
Although fiscally segregated from BlaqueAdemics, the BB&C is one of most exciting aspects of our founder's long term objectives. For those authors whose voices are unheard because of their literary integrity and/or targeted audience, the BB&C provides publishing opportunities. The BB& publishes only quality authors with progressive voices. Independent authors who wish to self-publish can access our publishing experience and services to produce work under their own brand. Other authors, as well as the BB&C's literary projects, are published exclusively by Banned Books & Co. All manuscripts are carefully peer reviewed by a blind panel of five scholars in various cultural fields to ensure quality, originality, and most important, integrity.
Although manuscripts must meet specific specifications, only after accepted for publication by BB&C will authors receive them. Unsolicitied manuscripts must include the author's return mailing address, email address, and telephone number, and should be mailed to:

Please note: While an integral part of BlaqueAdemics™, BB&C is a for-profit publishing house; therefore, donations mistakenly sent to the company toward its development and operations are not accepted or deposited, and will be promptly returned to sender. Moreover, any funds raised by BlaqueAdemics, The Network, or The Center are not used for the operation of Banned Books & Co. However, upon The Center's opening, BB&C will lease space from them. As part of BB&C's relationship with, and proximity to, BlaqueAdemics, which will also lease space from The Center, there is an expectation of the exchange of goods and services, however, such transactions are solely fee based.
